Back when the Schlage Encode Plus deadbolt lock first came out, I was lucky enough to get an order from the first batch I installed it April 1st, 2022 I added it directly to the Home app, never installed the Schlage app, and can confirm via the Eve app that it's connected via Thread (to one of my homepod minis or my Apple TV)

The online docs for the product are really bad, though You search for schlage encode plus factory reset, go to the main support page on Schlage, and it just dumps you in this pile of stuff, tries to get your location and the first link takes you to more random results
