Awesome If you can handle it (around 8 miles if I remember right) do the Trail of 10 Falls hike This is South Falls, which is definitely one of if not the most beautiful, but there are several others that are just about as majestic Not to mention the ferns, moss-covered trees and general atmosphere make it seem like a forest from a fantasy book

Silver Falls is nice, for sure, but there are a few other hikes I'd suggest instead if I really wanted to show off Oregon As long as you get at least 1 2 mile down a less-popular trail, Silver Falls is not that busy Two hikes that really showcase magnificent views are Dog Mountain (it's in WA actually) and Angel's Rest

There’s a pretty cool horror movie shot right where these were taken called Just Before Dawn, kind of a Friday the 13th Deliverance knock off but a lesser known classic for me, I recommend it whenever people I know visit the falls Anyway, beautiful park and pics man!

Hi I'll be traveling to Bend in a couple of weeks from parts north and want to stop by Silver Falls State Park on a Sunday morning From the videos I've seen it looks like the path of the falls loop gets pretty narrow Is it worth going on Sunday or are the crowds just overwhelming? Would really appreciate your suggestions

The camping itself at Silver Falls leaves something to be desired That being said, people don't go there to go camping, they go their for the beautiful breathtaking hiking and sights to see It's worth crappy camping for amazing hiking
