However, when I run speedtest net from any of my pcs in the network I seem to cap out at 150~160mbps I thought maybe it's that wifi connection between the wireguard server and gateway So I plug my laptop directly to the gateway and head over to speedtest net in chrome and I get the same 150~160mbps I go back to my phone and tried the app

Update: After testing my speedtest with the servers set to the same location as most of my actual downloads, I'm getting speeds closer to 1200Mbits, which is much more in line with my actual download speed This seems to be the most likely explanation so far Thanks to everyone who replied! Really appreciate the advice

I use Speedtest com since a long time, and results never got accurate I just did a speedtest, it showed: Download: 113 56 Mbps Upload: 117 56 Mbps And right after the test, I downloaded uploaded files on MEGA to test my real Internet speed, here are my results: Download: 7 Mb s Upload: 9 2 Mb s

Maybe speedtest was just overloaded at the time, or the unique pathway to it was congested, or they are capping free tests or whatever And fast com was not busy, or closer to you, or whatever Like all tests, the bigger and more varied the sample size, the closer you'll get to your true results
