The gal at Springfield said that any parts they send you can be replaced by the end user, i e they send nothing out that would interfere with "safety issues" I took this to mean that the recoil spring assembly replacement by the end user is NOT anything of concern as to voiding the warranty I did not however specifically ask her that either

I have an XD Mod2 45 SC and I'm thinking about getting an XDS 45, but not sure if I should get an older mod1 or the newer mod2 Is there any major difference between the two, beside the grip?
