- Difference between Tele and Strat - Telecaster Guitar Forum
A Strat can also do Deep Purple and other various hard rock stuff on the hum canceling positions while an ordinary non-humbucker Tele would give you a hard time Reactions: 4pickupguy , 1957stratman , JayKay62 and 6 others
- Neck Pickup: Tele vs. Strat | Page 2 | Telecaster Guitar Forum
Strat all the way I have to give credit where credit is due The tele neck pickup is too dark Dull And a poor match for the brilliant snap and twang of the bridge The strat doesn't have this problem Strat neck pickup is shimmery and clear and full and authoratative and bright all at the same time It's a masterpiece of electric guitar design
- Strat bridge pickup advice - Telecaster Guitar Forum
Right now, I'm really liking a Strat bridge pickup with around 9,300 turns of 42awg, A5 magnets, and a steel baseplate - I find the added mid-range tones from the extra winds tend to balance out the strident treble that is common to so many Strat bridge pickups - the extra winds gives it a little more power and it balances out better volume

Its range is not as great as a strat trem and it doesn't like being taken to its limit Re-grinding the knife edges and polishing the fulcrums lets it return to the correct position every time The Jazzmaster trem uses a fixed rocker bridge, a common mod is to replace that with a tune-o-matic, also arranged to rock
- Install Strat bridge pickup, into a Tele bridge
When we're saying "Strat pickup" here, do we mean a relatively low inductance 60s-style Alnico poled pickup? I would never argue that the Keystone bridge is a "Strat pickup", but at 3 2H and with the aluminum baseplate, there's no reason an actual Strat pickup would be "more Stratty"
- Anatomy of the Fender TBX Tone Control - Telecaster Guitar Forum
A good tone mod for a fender is to have a second tone pot (I did this to my twin-humbuckered strat copy), along with the other tone as a master Wire this second pot in the usual way using a 22nF cap in series with a spare single coil mounted under the scratchplate (preferably a cheap unit minus it's bar magnet to give enough room)

- Possibly Changing Strat to another model, is it worth it?
Hi all! So a while back i bought a 2012 Fender strat classic 60s series MiM, I fell in love with it, the neck, the 7 25 radius and the tone sound of the vintage styled pickups My buddy has a Fender Strat Performer HSS USA in satin surf green that he has offered me in a swap potentially for my classic 60s and some money his way of course
