My friends and I buy JR Alternatives all the time We smoke about a bundle a month each So I can tell you with the authority of use that the Alternatives to the Hoyo De Monterrey Sultan Size 7 25 X 54, tastes exactly like the original which we smoked before finding the JR Alternatives

I'll respectfully disagree with some of your earlier respondents: I'm a big fan of the JR Alternates For the price (less than a buck a stick if you buy the bundle), they're unbeatable Very well constructed, very consistent, smooth smokes Are they as good as the real thing? Of course not For me, they're my yard work cigars

Maybe I just got a good batch, but these are nice cigars Good burn, a comfortable draw and good consistency The smoke is the mild side of medium in body, and has a slightly sweet flavor and aroma These remind me a little bit of Puros Indios, only better IMHO I'll be getting more The cigars I smoked were 54 gauge and about 7 inches long
