Tequila (it's a launcher) is for windows and Island Rum is for Mac Once you have downloaded the game files you stick them in a place like C:\Games\City of Heroes then you install Tequila (or Island Rum) right inside that City of Heroes folder Now you should have the Tequila exe and other tequila files and the game files all mixed together

Tequila and the HC launcher are two self-contained, independent programs Removing Tequila will not break anything (I did it once to switch to Island Rum for Windows before switching back), you just won't be able to use it to launch the game - which is okay if you're satisfied with the new HC launcher

The servers hosting Tequila content can't manage the load and as a result the download is abysmally slow Using the torrent download and then installing Tequila into the folder where the game was downloaded lets Tequila skip most of the download and gets you ready to play much faster
