Except for cutting the hole in the floor for the shifter hump and a hole in the firewall for the clutch push rod, converting an auto tranny 68-72 car to a manual tranny is a 100% bolt-in swap The ORIGINAL cross member is retained (depending on which tranny is installed, all frames have multiple holes for proper positioning of the cross member)

I had problems with mine, be careful when replacing this you want to use a lil silicone and a small socket and tap it on easy the pan I would take off and clean real good check the tranny surface and clean real good also the pan surface and smear a lil black rtv around the edges on the pan, stick the gasket and let it set up for about 10 15
- where should TH350 actuator vacuum line connect?
They looked at it and said the vacuum line should be connected to a vacuum port directly on the manifold, ie the same one that the brake power booster is connected to They said insufficient vacuum would be causing the late shifts I described I had the manifold changed since they did the tranny work, so I can't blame them if its connected wrong
