They don't make small trucks anymore, and the Maverick isn't really a truck, but a cross over with a bed In that same class is the Hyundai Santa Cruise or Honda Ridgeline Then you go up to the Toyota Tacoma Ford Ranger Chevy Colorado, etc

The big 3 all know their trucks will be daily drivers and the majority of them will never see “truck stuff” and designed accordingly Look at all the diesels in the EU where small diesels are more common They are engineered for daily commutes and stop and go driving I doubt the big 3 would design a diesel not capable of all driving
