I solved it by manually downloading and installing the VirtualBox Extension Pack version 7 2 2 Apparently the automatic update didn't update the extension pack, and there was a conflict with the older Extension Pack that I had previously installed

Re: virtualbox runs slow by BillG » 11 Jan 2022, 05:24 That will be fine as long as your reboot at least once after you enter the hypervisorlaunchtype command if the hypervisor does not load, any programs which depend on it cannot run, even if they are enabled It is a killswitch for Hyper-V, if you like to think of it that way
