So when Yellow closed there was an influx of driver, DW and Mangers in the hiring pool Since this happened how many of the currect compaies did not give out raises?? If memory is correct XPO gave drivers a 4% and DW a 6% raise in 2024 So now you had an influx of willing and able people in 2023 but yet raises were given out in early 2024

Yes, but they also have to give like 2-3 month notice they are leaving and sign a Non-compete clause So in a way they are a different type of employee

While we were still Con-Way, more than 50% of the hearings resulted in the employee keeping their job But as we all know it's a different environment both within the company and socially I think everyone agrees that every terminal, every region have their own culture within the culture identified as XPO

In my opinion , XPO upper management has a 10 year plan to get the money back that was spent on the terminal purchases If you can eliminate 50 $100k linehaul runs and however many jobs at an FAC , you're starting to take a whack at it At my EOL terminal alone , roughly 40% of the $100k runs have been eliminated

That would take away incentive for an experienced already trained driver to transfer and stay with XPO when they could go to a new company and maybe have a better situation Hopefully someone who's actually went through the process chimes in with accurate information about how the pay works
