No brand loyalties here I just want to hear from the guys who have been doing this for a long time whether or not they think the GLX or IMX is worth double the cost of an XMG in an 1141 or EXS96LL Somebody that has been free-drifting almost longer than I have been alive told me the rod makes a big difference and I was just hoping for some

I own an imx 1025c and do all of my drift spoon fishing with this rod but its a bit heavy for the steelhead at ringhold The new rod would be used for light drift fishing and boondogging along with float fishing I like the cork reelseats on the Imx and am a bit dissapointed the steelhead series doesn't have that option

I have a factory 1084 imx i like it but want somthing better I stricktly drift fish from the bank i never use anything higher than 12 lb mono and nothing less than 8 lb the most important things to me are weight balance,sensitivity,durability with #1 being sensitivity so wich rod is the most sensitive
