ballet memphis is a dynamic professional company named a national treasure of the cultural world by the ford foundation. its season includes four memphis programs, including where the wild things are, the nutcracker, dancing together ii with rennie harris/puremovement and giselle. ballet memphis also has an active touring schedule featuring work from some of the world's hottest choreographers. featured on tour is the company's signature work, memphis, created for ballet memphis by trey mcintyre to music by mb.b. king, al green, the staple singers, howlin' wolf and rufus thomas. the company holds ballet, modern and stotts pilates conditioning classes in its studios.
