So I re-installed the latest VLC as of today (vlc-3 0 17 3-intel64) for good measure, and tried again But no luck -- still the instant 100% CPU spike I would really love to solve this as I prefer to VLC over any other media player, but cannot use it with this issue

It's really annoying It seems sometimes it does save, others it doesn't when I close up the player it just forgets them some settings eventually stick after a few tries but many don't Configuring the skins was really hard too Some I can't get even VLC to remember at all: random play, visualizations, msn "now playing", etc

Windows video player works flawless with the same content In order to try and understand better what is happening I created a screen capture at 60 fps of my desktop (using OBS) while the video was playing This then lets me playback frame by frame the full view of my monitor at the time of the problematic playback

I have the same problem here with VLC 2 0 5 on win 7 : I Select a list of random medias to play (a list of songs, ), and want to play it on random It does play some on random, but then before the whole list is effectively played, it stops

Thanks, Agree, the download file plays for any VLC version I have another file, which I cannot share that only plays on 2 2 x and does not play starting 3 0 0 and trying to get any requirements or feature differences between 2 2 x and 3 0 x that can make this happen in order to set my h 264 encoding appropriately
