I wanted to know my chances of getting into the nursing program in UC Irvine since it is a very competitive major to get into I just finished my junior year in highschool My cumulative GPA is 4 0 weighted but I managed to get a 4 4 weighted second semester of junior year My SAT score is pretty low, 1390, but I am planning to take it again on October I am also planning on taking the Subject

With a 2-3% acceptance rate neither school would be considered a Match but based on UCI’s Freshman 2018 stats you are on target UCI Nursing Stats: Fall 2018 freshman applicants: 2,887 Fall 2018 freshman admissions: 72 (2 5% admitted) Average UC GPA: 4 24 GPA Average total SAT score: 1914 Average total SAT score (new version): 1332

My top choices so far are Upenn, UCI, UCLA, Northeastern University, and Arizona State Would any of these programs be good for my career choice? Do you have any insight into any of these schools? Also, are there any direct-entry nursing programs with a 25%+ acceptance rate? I’ve searched around, but the numbers seem to be inaccurate or not

For 2020, UCLA had a 1% admit rate for Nursing UCI had a 1 6% admit rate for Nursing SDSU had a 6% admit rate for Nursing CSUSM had a 34 8% admit rate for Nursing (Local applicants given priority) CSUF does not show Nursing admit rate but they only admit 40 students into the Direct BSN program CSULB had an admit rate of 15 5% for Pre-Nursing

Freshman admission by discipline | University of California says that a recent admission class for UCI nursing had an admit 25th-75th percentile GPA range of 4 28-4 33, and enroll 25th-75th percentile GPA range of 4 26-4 33, and a 1% admission rate (GPAs appear to be UC recalculated weighted-capped)

I took the data link of acceptances by major that UCI provides and did some analysis First, I took a 3 year view 2020, 2021, 2022 by summing applications and acceptances by major over those three years Then I compared the trailing 3 year by major acceptance rate to the overall trailing 3 year acceptance rate of 26 4% to calculate a relative admit % (basically how advantaged or disadvantaged

Your SAT scores are on the low side for the UCSD UCI and UCLA Your application is more than just GPA and test scores so your essays, HS course rigor and EC’s will all contribute to your chances UCR is a solid match and so is CSU Fullerton UCI and UCLA will be tough for Nursing since they have such a low acceptance rate <4%

Direct admit nursing programs in California are highly competitive and with low acceptances for all three schools listed, there is really no way to chance an applicant Here is a link for SDSU’s Nursing stats but 2019 data is not available and had a 6% acceptance rate
