- So the 2020 HD models standard bed is now longer
The multi-piece inner panels allow them to be pushed closer to box’s outer panels in certain areas, expanding the usable width by 6 7 inches on the standard box, compared to the current model The box length is also about 3 inches longer on the standard box, extending length, adding volume and extra clearance for longer items

For those that are also concerned about length of truck for parking, I'll pass on the dimensions from the order guide: Crew cab with the standard box is the configuration that I'm interested I don't need an 8 footer, and can't wrap my head around the 'short' box that is available on the 1500's

Standard bed all the way for me Like stated above, trucks just look weird with a cab longer than the bed Plus I prefer to have a bed that can actually haul things and the look of a long truck is just nice If I could have gotten an 8' bed when i bought my truck I would have If garage space is a factor and you park inside I could see the reason for getting a short bed or if you never plan to

I really found the 5' 8" bed to be a great size for me It's long and wide enough for me to fit 6 boats stacked on their sides, and I can also sleep in the bed diagonally with the tailgate up

I need help in determining the bed size of a GMC truck that I'm looking to buy and my issue is that i can't go see it myself due to the current curfew going on in my country However, i tried looking up the VIN# but some sites decode the vin as a long bed and other sites say its short bed so i don't which is right

I am looking at used toppers I have a 2017 with a 6 1 2 foot box and can find a lot of toppers from 2013 and older trucks, but hard to find new ones without paying an arm and a leg how much different are the box sizes? anybody with a 2013 or older could you measure the inside box dimensions so

I will admit, the crew cab standard bed takes it up another level, and does look a little intimidating It would have been a dramatic change for me from a midsize truck But, after living with my double cab Sierra for a few months, I would definitely consider the crew cab standard bed, if I needed to move to a crew cab

The lines are 1 4" I think (been a while since I've done one) but the fittings are a different size You have a couple of options They sell at NAPA and such an adapter with the right size fitting on a 6" line with a standard size fitting on the other end Then you can use a regular union and attach it to a regular length of tubing or due it the way I do buy a bunch of line (however many feet
