- Garmin zumo xt isnt recognized on basecamp - Adventure Rider
My new Zumo XT is connected to Garmin Express and must be connected in some way to Basecamp because Basecamp downloaded the maps from the XT However, it doesn't show under "My Devices" or in Finder on the Mac Garmin says some GPS units (like the XT) may not be recognized and needs "special software", but doesn't say what that might be

Anyway I transfer info by saving a file from Mapsource as a gdb and then read the file into Basecamp A little slower but it has always worked I have had some trouble trying to edit tracks in Basecamp by cutting and pasting to the track window I suspect Basecamp wants you to use the track cut and join tools #6 NMTrailboss, Aug 20, 2014 #7

BaseCamp with restart and use the files in the DropBox folder Now go to your lesser used computer (in my case my Surface) and export each list route that you want to integrate individually In basecamp, I create folders for each state or area and then Lists of Routes that go together, like 5 days of routes from a single trip

The only image overlay that will display in basecamp is an old park map from vintage fest (barber) from 2015 the draw order at 100 or 0 doesn't appear to make a difference

I have Garmin basecamp, and three pc's that I use at various times of the day to plan my trips I know that it is possible to use onedrive to sync the important info across machines and I know that it is possible to screw it up and make a mess of years of stored data

I undestand that BaseCamp is supposed to let you edit maps and routes that are direclty on the Zumo, while looking through the PC Who wants to have to keep the Zumo plugged in to the laptop? I like creating and editing, then uploading into the device Some egghead got an idea to do something different and it is supposed to be better?
