Sheetcam is just for laying out parts on a user defined working surface to generate the gcode for cutting It’s not a design program Look up Arclight Dynamics and Premier Plasma on youtube for good tutorials on Sheetcam Any font can be used for plasma cutting, it all depends on how the font is placed and adding small bridging or tangents for any aspects of a letter than would otherwise

The pilot arc on a lot of the cheaper plasma cutters will stay on continuously as long as the trigger is pulled as well as the hole time it is cutting This is one reason why HF consumables do not last very long Now there are plasma cutters that use a non HF or blow back torch that are HF start

I am trying to make a font so I do not have to place the bridges in the letters every time I mainly use Arial Bold for making signs I have made a font but before i release it into the wild , I need a little feedback so I can fine tune it currently: A two inch tall letter has a 1875 bridge It resizes according to your needs Currently I know this font works in Inkscape and Photoshop Arial

Hi everybody I’d like to introduce myself i am new to the community and new to CNC plasma cutting everything’s going pretty good except for I’m having problems with my lead in and lead out piercing into my cut lines I am using the razor cut 45 with the machine torch that comes from langmuir at full power I’ve added some pictures of the project I’ve tried with the lead in and lead out

We just got our crossfire, and our new to plasma cnc I am finding out that making small circles are quite difficult We are using the Vipercut 30i at 110V on 1 8" steel plate Not quite sure what I am doing wrong but I’m hoping the forums would be a good place to start… Any idea on what I’m doing wrong, below are some pictures and settings, any help is greatly appreciated
