There isn’t a native way to draw dashed lines in SketchUp Hidden lines can be shown by turning on Back Edges Best bet is to add the dashed and hidden lines in LayOut

Hi, I’m needing to see hidden lines for a particular drawinf in Layout Does anyone know if it’s possible to see hidden lnes in Layout? I have saved a view in SU with hidden lines, but it’s not coming through in SU, even when I switch to both Hybrid and Vector viewing modes…

“Hidden Line” means actually “Hidden Line Removal” (HLR) which is a common term for this display mode The default outside color is white, the default inside color is grey Therefore “Monochrome” is correct at least until you override the inside outside color by your custom color

I used the hidden line style with the profiles turn on and set at 1 in the edge settings This gives a clean look, but i get lines missing on parts of my model i have tried to look up solutions - i dont really understand what anti aliasing, or open gl settings mean or do where can i get a basic walkthrough of things i should check or change?

I don't know how to If you want to draw construction lines that don't contribute to open closed profiles, you can press "q" on your keyboard or press "Alt + c" and type "construction" to find where it is in your toolbar You must be in the sketch environment for these to show If you want to show a previously hidden sketch, click the eye icon to the side of it

I have been wrestling with trying to keep the lines that are hidden in my SketchUp model hidden when transferred to layout The lines in particular that I want to be hidden are between the top plate and the roof (where the trusses would meet the wall) I think my grouping is correct, the refences have been updated in LayOut, etc But there is something that I am missing I have looked at the
