So basically you want to count the amount of pulses coming from say, a water meter for 15 minutes then detirmine the amount of flow over that period of time? Try to be a little more specific in the application and we can help you better The DL05 is capable of doing most of the things that any other brand can What are you planning to read this data into after it is recorded every 15 minutes?

I use the Automation Direct Panel s with many SLC 5 03 processors And like them You need a cable to from the EA9 panel to the SLC 5 03 DH 485 Port And maybe an additional power supply if you are 120 vac power

THe nice thing with PLC controllling a VFD is that you have complete separation between the power (3 phase) and contrl circuits which are low current or low voltage such as 4 20 mA and 0 to 10 volt Standalone the VFD can do all motor control start stop speed control reversal and protection ie motor overload Normal applicatins require a branch circuit with proper over current protection sized
