This same sort of redundancy creeps into English adoptions of mountain names in at least two languages I know of: One example is "Mount Fujiyama" which is redundant because the "Mount" is the "yama" (so Mt Fuji is legit)

The latter is in a large family of redundant mountain names that are mistakenly used in some English translations: For example, "Sierra Nevada Mountains" is similar to "Mt Fujiyama" (the "Mt" is the "yama", so it should translate "Mt Fuji") or "Mount Taishan" ("Mt" is in the "shan" so it should be "Mt Tai")

If my film camera was loaded with Fuji Velvia 50 I would have missed these types of shots Don't we all want injured climber shots? Sure we do My campsite in Little Lakes Valley with quite a view on a wonderful morning It was the softest granite I ever laid on The 20D is so easy to use, even my wife can use it

My Fuji Quickloader broke so most of my film had light leakage Clouds and wind didn't cooperate much anyway I've also planned a 9-day Taboose Pass trip but doubt that will happen this summer The thought of two 3k days back to back to get over the pass is an unpleasant thought

I got up to Rock Creek Lake 2 days prior and attempted to climb Mt Dade but due to bad weather I retreated and got to check out the Treasure Lakes along with Morgan Pass It rained a good part of that day The next morning I wanted to climb Mt Morgan but alas by 6 A M it was raining! Another summit attempt failed!
