- 1652 - 1660 – Willow Tree Shilling (Shilling, Sixpence and Threepence) - 1660 – 1667 – Oak Tree Shilling (Except for Twopence, all have 1652 date The twopence with 1662 is thought to be all counterfeit) (Twopence, Threepence, Sixpence and Shilling) - 1667 – 1682 – Pine Tree Shilling (Threepence, Sixpence and Shilling)

Terrible to do to a trade dollar, but the most inexcusable polished coin I ever saw was at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC It was many years ago - I forget if it was a pine tree, oak tree or willow tree schillings - but it was in with some colonial New England silver It looked like every time they polished the hollow ware, they polished the coin, too

"IN Masathusets" - Pine Tree Side "New England An Dom" and "International Sterling Facsimile of Pine Tree Shilling" and "1652 XII" So, definitely a copy I believe a couple of these brought around $17 each on Stack's website back in 2010 At least it's supposed to be silver Since I measured weighed it already, might as well share: Weight: 7

At one of out small local shows this past Nov a guy bought a nice fake pine tree shilling for a couple bucks It came back from the TPG as genuine and graded MS-61
