Same boat I have a West Elm sofa (with the same fabric) and your criticisms are also true for us (ours started pilling well before the 1 year mark—its 2 years old now) OP— I would buy a full-price IKEA sofa over a 65%-retail West Elm one

Any opinions on West Elm furniture? I'm looking for a small love seat to put at the end of my bed because I like to watch tv in my bed room but I don't like sitting in my bed I found this couch and like it, but some of the reviews online of West Elm furniture are scary It probably will be used about once a week not everyday

West elm is just an outlet it’s like saying target is bad when it obviously will have large variation in quality to cost ratio All these online retailers have terrible reviews and that’s likely because only negative reviews disproportionately get written, and also potentially just competition driving fake reviews
