Hi everyone, it's been a bit longer than expected, but the Polyratings revival project is complete Besides just restoring the ability to add new professors and contribute new ratings, we've significantly improved the search capabilities and created a fresh UI

Just use RMP Polyratings always just gets revived by some new slacker kid in CSC every couple years to fill in as their senior project and then abandoned after they get a job Every year this argument comes up again Taking users from RMP, a service that will last a long long time and receive continuous support and updates, just hurts the overall student base in the long run Muting replies to

We are not affiliated with the official PolyRatings site It was a deliberate decision to not display ratings directly next to professors’ names — the point of this extension is to make the process of class registration a little more convenient, not to reduce professors to numbers that were derived from objective means

I think it's an improvement from polyratings and I hope the UI makes for a better experience than ratemyprofessors I decided not to pull old reviews from other platforms as I think teachers can have a fresh start and my rating system is a little different If people end up using the site I can maintain it, add new features, and open source it

I just checked the polyratings for my CSC 202 class, and there is not a single positive thing written about him Prof Awan has a sub 0 5 rating, which seems like a terrible way to start my first major course Can I switch teachers before school starts or would it maybe even be worth it to wait taking the class another quarter? polyratings for first prof (its pretty bad) As for kirk duran, I have him rn in cs101 and hes pretty chill Very lenient friendly although he just started this quarter so he’s not that great at teaching The class is structured well though, so between the two Duran is probably better
