I've tried both and stayed with TaskbarX Rainmeter version It's simple to use, just load the skin and your taskbar is transparent and the icons are centered I haven't used Translucent TB for awhile I know it has more settings if your need more customization You can now get TaskbarX in the Microsoft store

Aside from the other app people are saying in the comments, there's also "TaskbarX", which you can get on GitHub You can control opacity, icon position, animation, etc with it and it's free

The configurator is in the rainmeter settings within your system tray, go over TaskbarX and look for the option to edit skin This should open up the preferences and you can edit it to your liking
