Anonymous user 14 03 2024 - 2 36 PM We're having a carpet fitted, and we want it running under the skirting boards, not up to (think it looks nicer) Should we fix the skirting boards first and leave a gap for the carpet fitter to wedge the carpet under? - Re tiling floor should you take off the skirting boards first
On reseraching this everyone says tilr first then skirtings its the professional way to fit otherwise you get grout joints up against the skirtings which always become a dust trap and putting the skirting on afterwards gives a neater overal finish Will the walls get damaged if we take the skirtings off?
