Hesco barriers aren't made with fabric They are made with thick cardboard heavily impregnated with waterproofing material I'm not sure landscape fabric would work very well

Hesco barriers are made of cattle panels and nonwoven geotextile fabric, as far as the shape and size you can do a myriad of different things, but i wouldnt skimp on the cattle panels since they will be holding up the structure, they are rigid unlike standard fencing material which flexes and droops if you used chainlink or welded wire fencing
