- Convert h m s (text) to excel time for calculation purposes
I'm trying to convert this column as a workable time output where I can determine averages, max, min etc I can do that once it is in a time format but the challenge is getting it to that format

Yes, the time data has text with the "h" "m" and "s", but only if applicable The goal is to try to get this data down to minutes ONLY The problem is, if the time is less that an hour it will not have the "h" (Example 8m 3s), and again, if the time data is less than a minute the time data will only have the time in seconds only

I want to convert hours:minutes to hour plus fraction For example, 1 hour and 15 minutes would be 1 25 hours The application bills in hours, so how can I convert the 1:15 to 1 25 hours?

My preference, if possible (for other applicable reasons) would be to rebuild the cell reference I believe I have to define the row reference from the active cell address and then reference that defined value when building the actual range I want VBA to select? The cells are already formatted as [h]:mm What I need is data validation so that the user is required to enter the time in that format with the colon I tried setting the data validation for Time between 12:00:00 AM and 11:59:00 PM, but the time could be greater than 24:00
