I always walked around neighbourhoods I liked and called rental signs During better times, I would find six signs in heavy rental areas in six blocks and find somewhere by the end of my walk Places that are amazing don't typically have to resort to Rentfaster to rent

I recommend looking at rentfaster, facebook marketplace, roomies ca and also kijiji for places Make sure you never send any money before you see a place and sign a lease, there are a lot of rental scams out there

PadMapper used to be reasonably popular, Haven’t heard much of it in a while though so it might be a lowkey dead platform (worth checking though) These days I mostly hear of people using RentFaster, FB and Kijiji Good luck out there!

I’ve been renting in Calgary for 10+ years, and RentFaster is my go to It’s where the most listings are, and has the best filtering options to find what you need Kijiji is my second option, but is harder to filter through 4Rent and Rentboard don’t have a lot, and most of their postings seem to be duplicate of what is on RentFaster
