Were you able to go low and slow enough to manage it via foods and or low level balanced supplementation, as through a multivitamin or an electrolyte supplement? I'm leery of taking potassium-only supplements as there could be a danger of skewing your electrolytes the other way, as I did with magnesium supplementation

I suggest you try drinking a few glasses of low-sodium V-8 or tomato juice - high in potassium - when you take folate or folinic acid, and see if this helps with your symptoms, and if it does, you can decide whether or not to take a potassium supplement or try to get it in food sources, or both
