- The blacked out Epstein docs are readable online - Straight Dope
If you go on reddit, it’s quite abuzz with the epstein-files and there are now quite a lot of sources where you can download 900 or so pages un-blacked-out
- Does free (truly free) online tax software actually exist? If so, where . . .
Specifically one that allows for 1099 income to be included TL,DR: I’m looking for a easy-to-use free online tax software that allows for people to fill out a schedule C in addition to the usual W-2 income It must also include a free state program and provide the option to print out the final forms as a “file on paper” option at no cost Reiterating that it must be free Background: I
- Dungeon Crawler Carl? - Cafe Society - Straight Dope
I have read the first book If you’re a big fan of Dungeons and Dragons and you don’t mind relentlessly sophomoric humor, it’s funny I don’t plan on reading any more of the series myself, but my son-in-law, who listens to it as an audiobook loves it, and is on the 4th book Everyone I’ve heard comment says the audiobook is better
- Demanding cites for things that would take you 2 second to look up is . . .
Please sir, I can’t be bothered to highlight a word in your post, search Google for it, and then click the Wikipedia link Even though that entire process takes 2 seconds, it’s a better use of my time to post a snarky re hellip;
- Stopwatches count in centiseconds? - Straight Dope
Have I been misguided all my life, or do stopwatches actually count in centiseconds, and not milliseconds, as I’ve been led to believe? The conventional stopwatch that I use is in the format of MM:SS:(CC) Since there are only two digits in the last section, the watch is counting in 1 100th of a second, which is a centisecond by definition

- 1930s sex manuals - Factual Questions - Straight Dope
Lately, while doing a research project on a totally different subject, I noticed that nearly every magazine or almanac from the 1930’s had at least one very prominent advertisement for a sex manual Most of these seemed to be marketed for people about to enter marriage They promised to reveal everything one needed to know about sex, complete with illustrations To protect the buyer’s
- 27 punch bowls - Miscellaneous and Personal Stuff I Must Share . . .
I’m perusing the local upcoming auctions Back in the day, I often went to auctions for cheap fun I rarely went home with anything but had a good time watching the show In fact, I went to an auction about 25 years ago to maybe buy an antique trunk I saw listed in the flyer and ended up buying my farm, but that’s a different story Most personal property auctions now are online I was
- Wishing you all a happy new year - Straight Dope
He’s got hourglasses in various time increments he got for Christmas, and I’m sure the new stopwatch will be involved at some point This is one boy who won’t miss a second! Meanwhile I’m warm on the couch eating Half Baked ice cream watching mediocre performances in Times Square Pretty ideal
- Technology Increasing Student Brawls? - Straight Dope
The NYT story below is about how smartphones have increased brawling at schools Though I have no reason to doubt this, it is not like peers didn’t always sometimes encourage other people to fight The scope is different and technology may make it more cyclic, pernicious or counted (since there was often no record of fights 30+ years ago) Is this as dramatic a problem as the article implies
