- Can´t pin icons to task bar or to start menu - Windows 7
For a while now, I can´t pin programs to my taskbar or to the start menu I've read solutions for this problem involving the regedit and the lnkfile and also deleting automatic destinations but none have worked so far The option to pin the programs appears but whe I click it or drag the program, nothing happens

Notepad no longer opens Note pad does not open on my desktop but works ok on my laptop On my desktop, when I click the Notepad icon only a thumbnail opens at bottom of my screen The thumbnail is blank and doesn't do anything Both my desktop and laptop have the latest Windows 10 OS Any help would be appreciated
