I have Windows 10 on my computer and I am trying to create a bootable USB disk for either Linux Ubuntu or Mint I have downloaded both ISO files and I am now using BalenaEtcher to create the USB disks However after selecting ISO file (Actually “flash from file” in Etcher button), nothing happens I cannot select ether target nor Flash button I have tried to do this for both files Ubuntu
- How Long Should Etcher take to create a bootable USB?
I’m using balenaEtcher (latest version) to create a bootable USB (SanDisk USB3 32GB) for LinuxMint but, it appears to run but then just appears to hang, continuing to say “Starting” Is this normal and will it just stay that way until it is finished? (Windows 11) Task Manager shows it’s not doing anything Does it need to be started in Admin mode to work? The Mint iso is on a network

I open the program, I pick “Flash from file” I select the os file I want, Pop_OS, the program just stays stuck in a way I don’t know how to describe I’ve reinstalled BelanaEtcher and still have the same issue even after redownloading the Pop_OS file

made an account just to post this ran into the same trouble looking for the portable version hit up the github releases page Releases · balena-io etcher · GitHub (might have to hit the little drop down arrow on “Assets”) and download the latest balenaEtcher-win32-x64-XXXXX zip file if youre looking for the portable version
