Check in files A file you check out, and any changes you make to it, won't be available to your colleagues until you check the file back in to your document library If you downloaded your document to work locally, you'll want to upload it before checking it in To learn how to do this, see Upload files and folders to a library

Note: New comments made on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files after September 15, 2020 will not show up in the detail pane or activity feeds However, comments made before that date will continue to show If you want to add new comments, we recommend using the commenting feature built into those apps

Important: Do you use File > Save As after making changes to an original document or template? If so, we recommend using File > Save a Copy before making your changes That way AutoSave won't overwrite the original file with the changes
