I already have a MKII Cobra and put on 3-6k miles a year on it But, I have noticed that rain is not fun with no roof I have a friend who is selling his hot rod and I also have been looking around I am close to making a hot rod purchase My big question is how are the hot rods with the roof on driving in cold or rain

- Wipers or not? - thefactoryfiveforum. com
Beyond the actual driving in the rain wipers allow you a little more flexibility in using the FFR many, many times I wanted to drive the FFR and looked at the hourly forecast If you have wipers, you can bump up the % chance of rain that you are willing to take the FFR in by maybe 20%
- Cover for towing on open trailer [Archive] - Factory Five Forums
If so, most will recommend to not cover it Something a little bit loose and flapping around can do damage to your paint Less risk of damage to leave it uncovered It it's not painted, wrap up like a Christmas present What I did when I picked up my unpainted Mk3 and the forecast was for rain on the way home (which it did)
- Driving your Roadster in bad weather, etc.

- MK4 Windshield Installation: Tips, Myths, and Realities
Maybe a light rain would have been different, but we had nearly as much rain on the inside of the windshield as we did on the outside Since we have no plans to get a top for our MK4, I didn't think wipers would be very useful in anything much harder than a little rain-x wouldn't take care of
- Wipers Installed - thefactoryfiveforum. com
They should provide good visibility for the driver in the rain; The visibility for the passenger is not so important; I started as others have with cardboard IMG_1440 (Large) JPG I'm using the WWK2 wiper kit from Specialty Power Windows, SSBR stainless wiper arms and SS11 blades These are "bent right" arms
- 33 windshield wipers
I bought Dan Ruth's set up Very easy to install and even works in the rain I'm sure you can buy the same base kit cheaper, but he has it all configured for the FFR33 However I ended up not using the mounting bracket because I switch between hardtop and roadster and didn't want to mount it with the windshield fasteners IMG_5496 jpg
- Complete kit build-Wiper kit-YES or NO - thefactoryfiveforum. com
Not a requirement in NC so did not order them Got caught in the rain a number of times but didn't have any real hardships seeing out At speed most of the water blows off you say pretty dry Slow traffic you will get wet Slow traffic you will get water on both sides of the glass RainX or similar does a very good job of keeping the glass
- Best Car Covers - thefactoryfiveforum. com
FFR sell a cover I've had one for some time It 's made to order for the roadster Comes down low to the ground for complete coverage It is lightweight fabric that can be stuffed easily in the trunk or behind one of the seats I bring it when touring I have used it during rain events and it has kept the car completely dry
