Bronx Zoo is the best, but Turtleback Zoo is fun too, especially around the holidays It depends what you want If you want a world class zoo with a cool tram ride then Bronx Zoo is the choice If you just want a nice outing to see some animals and have little kids, Turtle Back zoo is a lot easier to get to, less expensive and still fun

Bronx botanical garden is an actual stop on the metro north (which is only a few blocks away from the Bronx Zoo) You’re technically supposed to buy a city pass for using the metro north in city limits, but they don’t usually check your ticket until after you exit city limits so generally it’s the cheapest option too
