A friend asked if I would submit a photo taken I think in Hilton Head South Carolina If it wasn't taken there it was in upstate New York I thought it was an Eastern Towhee but she's not sure Thanks for any help Kathy

That white flash is quite remarkable in Towhee ) On the other hand, if the OP's view didn't include bill or belly at all, I think male Rose-breasted Grosbeak would fit quite as well Certainly,it's a common feeder bird in the region
