Yeah, just link your local account to Marcus Initiate the transfer from Marcus and they'll pull the funds from your bank Marcus has a very high ACH transfer limit ($125K day push and $125K day pull and you can call to get that increased), so moving $40K in a single transaction should be fine and is perfectly legal

Was your brokerage a different source from where your Marcus account was funded from? When Goldman launched Apple Savings, I funded an AS account from two different checking accounts over a period of time (with multiple fundings from each account)

My new landlord wants only "direct deposit" and won't take checks, bill pay (which sends a physical check), Zelle, Venmo, etc We both use PNC bank but they apparently no longer offer direct ACH, as they're adopting PopMoney Zelle I have my landlord's bank account number + routing number, so I just need a way to send it from my account to theirs, ideally automatically on the 1st of every month

The only thing I’d call out is some HYSA have a withdrawal limit I opened one with Ally and for the first 90 days you can only withdrawal 10k in one transaction and remember you’re limited to 6 per month Then after that it’s still a limit of 150k At 150k limit it’s not too much to think about unless you need significantly more than that in one month But definitely something to keep
